The Botswana National Sport Commission (BNSC), in collaboration with the Department of Broadcasting Services (DBS), the Botswana National Olympic Committee (BNOC) and the Ministry of Youth Empowerment Sport & Culture Development (MYSC) will host the 41st Botswana Sport Awards; the glamourous and most sough-after national sporting event, on 7th May 2022 at Ba Isago Convention Centre.
When speaking at the Nominees launch last night at Fairgrounds Holdings, the BNSC Board Chairperson Mr. Marumo Morule said, "With exactly twenty-five (25) days to the 41st edition of the Botswana Sport Awards, I cannot help but be excited at the opportunity to present to you the nominees for the Botswana Sport Awards that covers the period 2020 and 2021"
He further said that due to the limited sport activity in the said period, the 41st Edition of the awards will be different in two ways:
Firstly, it will combine 2020 & 2021 activities; and secondly, there is a reduced number of categories, noting that some new categories have been introduced to particularly respond to the era of COVID-19 we have just come from.

Serufho and management, the BNOC CEO Ms. Botho Bayendi and management, and members of the media.

There will be two (2) categories for the media being the Electronic Sport Journalist/Reporter of the Year and Print Journalist/ Reporter of the Year. The winners of the two (2) awards will be revealed at the main event. As per the tradition, the Minister will also award one or more persons during the 41st Botswana Sport Awards.
