The BNSC welcomes the Government‘s Mind-set Change Campaign

GABORONE; The Botswana National Sport Commission (BNSC) joined the Government and other stakeholders: Parastatals, Private Sector, virtually to listen to His Excellency the President Dr. Mokgweetsi Eric Masisi’s launch of the  Mind set change campaign in Zutshwa. Lead by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Tuelo Daniel Serufho, BNSC staff converged at the National Stadium warm up area this (20/07/2023) afternoon to listen to His Excellency Dr. Masisi officially launch the campaign in Zutshwa under the Setswana slogan “A re chencheng ”.

The Commission paused its activities briefly for the important launch, which amongst other intended benefits is to drive Botswana from a middle to a higher income country in the near future. The exercise gave the BNSC staff an opportunity to reflect and evaluate how best they can improve their work performance and in turn serve Botswana sport for the better.

Addressing the staff after the live-streaming of the launch, Mr. Serufho encouraged them to implore the three (3) pillars of motivation; “be the first, the best, and the number one” as they embark of on this journey. The CEO also expatiated on what this significant exercise mean for Sport, “His Excellency the President is urging us to be agile, to be cognizant of the fact that the world not still, its constantly moving therefore we also have to move ahead of the pack if we want the first, the best and number one.” We should seek out opportunities and we should not sit in our comfort zone. He further said this means that National Sporting Associations (NSAs) should not just look at the Government for help, but also independently explore options that can better the Association. He also thanked the Staff for making time for this initiative and wished them well in their journey of mind-set change.
