INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY MANAGER

1. 1. Reporting directly to the Director Corporate Services the incumbent will be responsible for coordinating the provision and maintenance of a stable and appropriate Information Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure environment to support the business of the BNSC; maintain and ensure recoveries in case of disruptions as well as to provide technology communication services to the Commission for ensuring effective information flow.

1. 2. Key Performance Areas

1. 1. 1. IT Security Management and Design
      2. Management of hardware / software of IT related equipment
      3. Configuration and management of the network ( wireless LAN)
      4. Ensuring the Commission compliance with all licensing rules of software usage
      5. Development of policies and procedures regarding ICT information management.
      6. Ensure that the Commission’s ICT infrastructure is cyber safe

1. 3. Qualifications

1. 1. 1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology / Computer Science or related.

1. 4. Experience

1. 1. 1. Minimum seven (7) years experience in ICT industry with hands on experience, three (3) of which should have been at management level.

1. 5. Competencies:

      2. Analytical and problem solving skills
      3. Availability and reliability of systems applications and databases
      4. End user utilization of ICT resources
      5. Innovative ICT solutions
      6. Knowledge of Cyber Security frameworks and management
