Despite Team Botswana (Women and Men) finishing the 2023 Okavango Diamond Company (ODC) Africa Netball Cup in position four (4), the Botswana Netball Association (BONA) hosted an indeed successful event that ended in an exhilarating and historic final between Zambia and Namibia. The University of Botswana Sport Arena was the hub for this continental spectacle which took place from 28th November 2023 to 6th December 2023 in Gaborone.
The first final of the day was between Zimbabwe and South Africa (SA), in which SA emerged victorious with a score of 45-40 from the men’s side. In another intriguing and tightly contested final through the four (4) quarters leading to an extra time, was between Zambia and Namibia, where Zambia ended up becoming the Champions with a score of 57-55.
