The Botswana National Sport Commission, a statutory body established to promote sport nationally and internationally, invites suitably qualified and experienced individuals to apply for the following position, based in Gaborone:
Reporting to the Director Corporate Services, the incumbent will be responsible for managing a comprehensive BNSC records management program, fleet management system and general administrative systems and procedures which are accurate and secure to support functional decision making.
Key tasks and responsibilities
Records Management
Develops and implements the records management policy and procedures for the BNSC according to the standards of the Botswana National Archives and Records Services (BNARS) as well as ISO standards.
Develops, implements, and maintains an Electronic Document Management Records System (EDMRS).
Ensures the implementation of a disaster recovery policy, procedures, and plan.
Develops and conducts in-house and NSAs training on care and management of the organisation’s records.
Supports NSAs with advice, guidance, templates, and ensures record management standards are maintained through annual audits of selective NSAs.
Manages all aspects of the mail process to support the BNSC’s functions.
Fleet management
Manages all aspects of the BNSC’s transport requirements i.e. transport requests, fleet insurance, vehicle maintenance and fleet disposal.
Short Term Insurance (assets & liabilities)
Manages and ensures all the BNSC assets and liabilities are insured and processes claims of the same.
Qualifications
A Degree in Records Management/Archives Administration /Public administration or related field
Knowledge of fleet management.
Experience
Minimum 8 years in the records management field, including 3 years supervisory experience.
