1.1. Reporting directly to the Executive Assistant the incumbent will be responsible for managing all aspects of risk in the Commission, its employees, NSAs, reputation, assets and interests of all its stakeholders. Specific risk areas include corporate governance, information security, regulatory compliance and operational risks. The incumbent will also be responsible for ensuring that the legal affairs of the organisation are handled in accordance with the relevant statutes.
1.2. Key tasks and responsibilities
1.2.1. Maintenance of the risk management framework
1.2.2. Quarterly risk reports to Management and the Finance Audit & Risk committee
1.2.3. Effective risk management processes
1.2.4. A timeous and up to date risk register
1.2.5. Legal Services
1.2.6. Risk awareness and training programs conducted to staff
1.3. Qualifications and Experience
1.3.1. Bachelor’s degree A Bachelor’s degree in Law, Auditing/Finance/Risk, compliance and governance or equivalent. Qualifications in Anti Money Laundering (AML) /Combating the Financing of Terrorism (CFT), Enterprise Risk Management, Compliance Management or Legal work will be an added advantage.
1.3.2. Minimum 7 years’ experience in a risk, compliance environment, 3 of which should be at a managerial level.
